Monthly meeting to discuss issues faced by an entrepreneur. Organized by Chicago Booth Alumni Club of Washington D.C. Open to All DC Alumni and Friends
Join the Chicago Booth DC Entrepreneur's Advisory Group for our November meeting.
The Chicago Booth DC Entrepreneur's Advisory Group will meet November 14 from 7-9 pm at the offices of Wilson Sonsini at 1700 K Street.
Our speaker will be Will Fuentes, Founder and CEO of Lemur IMS (www.lemurims.com). We will engage in a discussion about some of the current issues and opportunities faced by the company. Will sent me a copy of his one minute pitch: "How many of you have gone to a store and walked out because you did not find what you wanted or the item was more than you wanted to pay? How many have you gone into a store and used a pricing app to check pricing and then bought elsewhere? Now imagine that you are a retailer and you are seeing this happen. People are still buying products but they aren???t buying from you. It is frustrating and there clearly is a gap. This gap causes over $150 Billion of sales to be made at or below cost. Lemur Retail bridges that gap. When you walk in and don???t buy we help retailers figure out why not. Then our algorithm, developed and tested in various retailers over the last 8 years, optimally prices product and reaches back to you, the interested customer, with unique, relevant offers. Whether you are a small boutique or a large national chain you are dealing with this each and every day. How do we know? BC we have been engaged by retailers across all verticals and of all sizes asking us to help. Lemur is comprised of unique technical and design talent and experts in retail that have held jobs from sales person to CEO of a Fortune 500 company. At Lemur we are reimagining the retail in-store experience. Give me 3 more minutes and I will show you how."
As always, the event is free and open to all, and our hosts at Wilson Sonsini will provide pizza and soft drinks to sustain us through the evening.
