Dr. David Meltzer, Associate Professor, Pritzker School of Medicine, used his background in economics and medical practice to seek designs for a care system that could achieve the promise of the Affordable Care Act: to provide care to all who need it in an affordable way. He will provide, for discussion, a hands-on research model based on studies he conducted at the University of Chicago to manage costs while providing improved care to selected individuals with chronic diseases. Light refreshments will be served.
