The goal of this event is to target what can be done about diabetes and the proven and relatively simple ways to prevent its onset.

Dr. Garfield, who was the NIH research scientist for the Diabetes Prevention Program that demonstrated that diabetes can be prevented will be with us to lead the point discussion on lessons learned, and is positive that diabetes risk can be dramatically reduced and that treatment of those with diabetes has progressed dramatically.

In order to prepare for the dinner, please read this short article beforehand.

Dinner will be at Lauriol Plaza, 1835 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009 at 6:30pm. The reservation will be under The University of Chicago, and dinner will be limited to eight attendees and will be among the restaurant patrons.
